Her work has been published in outlets like Vanity Fair, Mother Jones, Vice, and The New Republic. Katie has a history of exclusive reporting on often under-covered topics related to gender and politics, like no-fault divorce and coerced debt.

In addition to reporting, Katie has experience with fact-checking and editing. She holds an M.A. in International Reporting from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in International Studies and Sociology from The City College of New York. Katie currently teaches Media Literacy at CCNY in the Journalism Department. She also sits on the communications board at that university and volunteers her time toward helping NYC high schools develop journalism programs.
